Summer Curriculum at Kealakehe and Konawaena Elementary Schools

KONA, HAWAI`I (April 11, 2022) – Registration is now open for a Summer Enrichment program being offered at Konawaena and Kealakehe elementary schools by the La`i`ōpua 2020 Enrichment Program.

This free program starts June 6, 2022, and runs through July 15, 2022, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (excepting June 10 and July 4). The Kealakehe program will accept students in grades kindergarten through 7th grade; at Konawaena elementary the program is available to kindergarten through 5th grade students. Keiki can be from any school, homeschooled, or visiting relatives for the summer.

The creative, interactive curriculum focuses on three main areas – English language literacy, STEAM, and Hawaiian language and culture. The ALOHA code of conduct is observed and small class sizes, one teacher to 10 students, create opportunities for individual attention.
