Offered Second Year on Award-Winning Hawaii Coffee Farm 

Kailua-Kona, HI– Monarch Coffee, an award-winning coffee producer on the Big Island of Hawaii, is proud to announce the return of its highly anticipated Q Processor Level 2 (QP2) professional course December 2-7, 2024. Taught by renowned coffee expert Tim Heinze, this advanced course is designed for green coffee buyers, roasters, coffee producers and coffee enthusiasts.

“The instruction is geared for those with some knowledge of post-harvest coffee processing— either through visiting a producing region or doing any kind of self-study,” says Abby Munoz, director of operations at Monarch Coffee. “Info will be welcome to those eager to learn more about coffee processing and earn their QP2 certification.”

Heinze is the coffee education manager at Sucafina and director of The Center, an online educational platform. With a Master of Agriculture from Texas A&M University, he has been a Coffee Grading Institue (CQI) instructor since 2017. Having started in coffee in 2009 during his time living in SE Asia, Heinze has worked across all aspects of the coffee industry and is passionate about the cultivation, processing and trade of coffee. He has also utilized his teaching skills in supporting development projects throughout the world.

Monarch Coffee will provide the ideal setting for this intensive course. The farm, known for producing high-quality Gesha and Pacamara coffee, has gained national recognition after placing in numerous cupping competitions.
